Hello my name is Steve Nance and I live in Trophy Club, Texas (about 10 miles north of Fort Worth) with my wife, mother two dogs and three parrots.

I'm a retired Project Engineer having worked forty-two (42) years for Bell Helicopter Textron, a leading helicopter manufacturer. Where I spent the last five (5) years leading the development of a large software project.

I hold an Amateur Extra Class license (K5FR) and I have been licensed since 1959. I held a previous call,  K5YYH, from 1959 - 1979.

I enjoy chasing DX, building electronic projects (smt mostly) and developing software to assist with today's digital environment.

I'm an active member and trustee of our local radio club (KA5R) the Alliance Amateur Radio Club and a member of the ARRL and RSGB.

My interests include Astronomy, Ham Radio, Physics, Software Engineering and Woodworking.
